I’m back in Detroit for the holidays and I’m reflecting on my December stay in Puerto Morelos.
Highlights & photos in no particular order:
Amazing food, as always!
Chef Wars at Osteria Barocca – Puerto Morelos & dinners at Blue, El Pirata, and Punta Corcho were high on the list!
Koox Ich Kool Farm to Table Experience with Chef Karla Romo
Snorkeling for the first time in 7 months with Heidi & Lighthouse Tours.
The full moon over the Caribbean Sea in Puerto Morelos is always my favorite night of the month! The rooftops at La Sirena PM & Osteria Barocca, and Ojo de Agua’s beachfront restaurant – Ki are fantastic locations to take in the most beautiful views of the moon.
Lauro’s Puerto Morelos – Lauro’s Fest 1.2 was unbelievable & shared with friends even better!
Dancing salsa on the beach at The Diving Lodge Downtown and La Sirena – Puerto Morelos
Live music weekends & dancing in the sand at Unico Beach -Puerto Morelos
Amie’s “see you soon” farewell week
World Cup games!
It was amazing to watch the final games (and celebrate) with amigos argentinos & amis français!
Oh! And we put a deposit down to buy in a new development – (2bed/2bath) garden floor apartment in Selva Escondida II. They are scheduled to begin building in March and should be Contact our selling agent, Roberto Reyes at +52 (998) 524-5698 and let him know that Bridget & Amie sent you! 🙂 (Won’t you be my neighbor?)
PS – Got my first tattoo when I came down in October/November for my 50th Bday – present to myself!
It’s a sunrise with the sea + clouds (it’s not always a perfect day). There is a monkey doing a handstand on a suitcase (travel). The monkey is for my Maya calendar symbol – Chuwen. I have been studying and following mayaharmony.com and learning so much about how the Maya seek balance each day. Chuwen represents connections and that is my mission in life and business!
I am so thrilled with how it came out! The colors are vibrant & the upside down monkey “El Changuito” makes me smile. (Gracias, Irvink Tattoo!)
