Craving a taste of Asia in Puerto Morelos? Puerto Morelos can transport you directly to Asia with restaurants that offer authentic cuisine! Although we are located in Mexico, we enthusiastically embrace other cultures. You can choose between Thailand or India with the certainty of tasting the traditional flavors and freshness of their ingredients.
There are two super interesting spaces in the center of our beautiful town that will transport you to the other side of the world. Yum Yum Wok is a stylish food truck on the main avenue where you can try the most delicious noodles and other specialties.
Patrons will experience freshly prepared Thai food where you can build your wok with traditional flavors and ingredients such as pork and chicken. Everything lives up to its name, you will not be able to resist saying “yum yum”.
Namasté is right in front of the park, in a secret little corner, where you have to go up the stairs to feel the Indian style and atmosphere. Enjoy a privileged view of the city while savoring typical dishes and drinks, lamb as one of the main elements but with a wide variety of vegetarian dishes and vegans.
Another point in common that these two places have is the cocktail bar. Definitely, up to par with their dishes and invites you to stay longer appreciating the lovely landscape and incredible atmosphere.
Although the flavors are typically Asian, each restaurant found their own unique way to add the traditional Mexican flavors!
Our recommendation when longing for the flavors of Asia in Puerto Morelos,
At Namasté kick things off with a tasty Lassi, a yogurt-based drink, with a hint of fruit. Next, try the exquisite Palak Ghost with cheese naan as a delicious entree, and be sure to ask about the hidden menu… you won’t regret it!
When you go to Yum Yum, start with fried or pan-fried wontons and kushipop. Cool things off with a refreshing pineapple margarita, and then start building your main dish next! Choose between wok with noodles or rice, vegetables, meat, sauce, and all the toppings you can think of. Also, remember, you can’t leave without trying the delicious sweet and sour chicken!
You can’t imagine how happy we are to make these gastronomic trips without moving from the Mexican Caribbean.
