Don’t let the rainy season slow you down!

It’s always good to have a list of ideas on standby for after downpours clear. Instead of staying home on rainy days, check out our list of awesome activities to brighten any gray day.

Pick up books and games at Alma Libre Bookstore

Test out a new instrument, take a class, or even record your own music or podcast at AnnStudio.

Take the kids (or young at heart!) to Museo Tuukul Taam in Leona Vicario and learn about geology and Mayan history.

Visitors rest on a wooden platform inside the cave at Cenote La Noria.

Swim in a closed cenote – the cave will protect you from the rain, not that you won’t already be wet!

Watch sports at La Sirena or El Refugio

Work out at one of the gyms in Puerto Morelos.

Go shopping, ice skating, indoor go-karts, axe throwing, arcade games, laser tag, escape rooms and more at GO (Grand Outlet) Riviera Maya

When you decide to go out, please drive slowly and watch for standing water on the roadways which could damage your vehicle (or the taxi you’re riding in) or hide potholes and speedbumps that will. It’s best to stay put in a safe spot for a while after a storm clears to allow the water to drain away first.
